We are delighted to announce that the 13th edition of the International Symposium on Computer Music Multidisciplinary Research, CMMR 2017, will take place in Porto, Portugal at CARA - Centro de Alto Rendimento Artístico (Centre for High Performance in Arts). CMMR 2017 is organised by INESC TEC in collaboration with the Orquestra Jazz de Matosinhos and the theme for 2017 is "Music Technology with Swing." The General Chairs are Matthew Davies and Rui Penha of INESC TEC. For further information, please see: http://cmmr2017.inesctec.pt. We very much look forward to welcoming you to Porto in 2017!

We are pleased to announce that Springer Verlag has decided to publish a post proceedings edition of selected papers presented during CMMR2016 in their Lecture Notes in Computer Sciences Series (LNCS). Authors chosen for the post proceedings edition will be directly notified by the editorial board.

July 9th

The CMMR 2016 electronic proceedings are now publicly available here! The distributed tinyurl and QR code will also continue to work (and become public).

July 8th

In order to give us all a last opportunity of meeting CMMR participants in a welcoming gastronomical venue, we are suggesting a place for dinner tonight that is specialized in Brazilian dishes from several states. It is called Tordesilhas (the name refers to a 16th-century Portuguese-Spanish treaty to regulate colonization of Latin America) and is located very close to Ibis (Alameda Tietê, 489). If you want to have an idea about customer ratings, prices, etc, please take a look at this link by Trip Advisor. Marcelo will be at the hotel lobby at 8:30pm to walk together with anyone interested in joining the group. If you want to go directly, we will be there around 8:45pm.

July 7th

July 5th

Some of us are going to a bar called Canto Madalena. If you want to join us later use this link to find out where it is. If you take a taxi, tell him you want to go to Rua Medeiros de Albuquerque 471, Vila Madalena.

July 3rd

Today (Sunday) the Paulista Avenue is closed for traffic and becomes a "linear park" for pedestrians. With such a nice weather this is a good program for those staying in this part of the city (if you go there don't miss the antique street fair under the MASP Museum). The "Parque Minhocão" is another "linear park" on Sundays, located 2km away from Avenida Paulista, that corresponds to the entire length of the "Elevado Costa e Silva" (an elevated highway). Other streets in SP are closed for pedestrians on Sundays; google for "Programa Rua Aberta" (but consider that most information will be only available in Portuguese).

Sundays in SP feature many other interesting street fairs, such as the arts and crafts street fair at Praça da Liberdade (the tradicional Japanese neighborhood in SP), the arts and crafts fair at Praça da República and the antique fair at the MUBE Museum.

June 29th

There will be a coffee service (not coffee-break) each morning starting 40 minutes before the beginning of the conference, at room B-5 in IME-USP. Specialty Brazilian coffees will be served using your chosen method (expresso, French-press or percolated) along with a delicious cookie. Those taking the CMMR bus should expect to be at IME-USP in time for this complimentary CMMR coffee before heading on to the technical sessions.

June 28th

Jazz concert on Monday: for those arriving early on Monday the 4th, there will be a group from USP leaving 18:00 from the lobby of the Ibis Hotel to attend a Jazz concert from American pianist Kevin Hays accompanied by Brazilian percussionist Sergio Krakowski.
